i just rang up to get some quotes on new tyres and was told its more than likey there will alloy damage when they remove the old tyres?!!

then they are shit!!!! My bro fitted his 18" tyres with a profile of 35 to his bimmer wheels with out marking them.

was it kwik fit??? they messed up my mates alloys but he never complained or anything!!!!! RSR done a quality job on all my alloys.

Also, i haven't got alot of money to spend and ive found four tyres for 165quid!! (205/40/17) will it effect the performance of my car getting these cheap quality tyres?

Of course it is going to affect handling getting cheaper tyres, the cheapest i have found at that size is £35.40 and they are called Linglong,

kwik fit are roll up smoking monkeys. go somewhere better. mytyre.co.uk are good.

i ment for cheap tyres. a lot of 'fitting' garages bang extra money on the tyres just for ordering them. I got 4x Goodyears fitted for £40 at a local garage

Too many fakes on the internet though, i'd always buy em from a place where i can see tyres being delivered by big dunlop trucks rather than a wide boy in a 1990's tranit!!!!!!

Ahh thats what I care about the most tbh, I shit myself everytime I aqua plane I might go for some Toyos r's they seem cheap or the p zero neros aren't too expensive.

Don't they make you sign a Disclaimer incase they do, i'm sure there are places that do. If they are any good they won't scratch your wheels. There is NO need to scratch wheels if time and care is taken.

i fitted two tyres to a bmw 6 series they were 275/30 r20 run flats with out marking them they must be animals or take them off with a axe
