When getting tax for a car, do you need the whole V5 or can you just use the little green slip you get when you buy a car?

Tax on the new car runs out today but we have only just bought it so the V5 has been sent off.

yea just take that, MOT/insurance.

mines up this month, at least it will be renewed before Mr brown puts taxes up again
