I opened an account over the phone, gave them my name and spelt it out to them. they then send me my details with the wrong spelling. I phoned up and they said they would resend everything. They've just sent me a letter now wanting me to return a form confirming who I am, yet again spelling my name wrong
Good job I have an appointment on Saturday

im currently on the phone to the bank. They put a block on my account for no apparent reason. I called them on thursday and they said it was sorted so i went shopping on sunday, tried to withdraw some money and it chewed up my card. I called them yesterday and they said its now been sorted so went onto my online banking and guess what? its not
Now I think im on the phone to someone in India

yes, halifax are very very shit. did you know that they are the bank that the government use to open the accounts for successfull asylum seekers? my branch was full of africans every time I went in depositing large amounts of cash. it annoyed me so much closed my account.
not only that they were useless at doing anything bank related.

The worst bank i have ever dealt with, wouldn't bother with them being honest. Go with Lloyds or Barclays.

it wasnt the fact they were of a different race that it annoyed me, just the fact it used to take 2 mins to pay some money in. when Halifax started doing the asylum seekers accounts it took 20 mins.
plus it wound me up to see a cue of people in the bank that are supposed to be running in fear of their lives and scrounging off the tax payer standing in line wearing £80 trainers, dripping in gold, chatting on £300 mobile phones and paying lots of cash into their accounts.
