used a bit off this to get the rubing strip gunk off my doors. theres a little patch thats a bit pink almost. like really faint. any ideas why? or how to get rid of it?

cheers mate. got most of it off now. just a tiny lil bit too do. my cars starting to come together. i think this little pink bit will t-cut out. if not even polish out

Carb cleaners the same as brake cleaner ya plonker lol if its gone pink use t-cut asap to get it back to normal. And in future dont use carb cleaner on paintwork!

when i removed my rub strips i was left with a light blue colour. had to get it resprayed as the paint had faded.

it was a free respray from my dad excellent job

i wish i'd kept them on sometimes though

still not comne off. even with t-cut and auto-glym cutting polish. pissing me off now. im starting to think it has nothing to do with the cleaner as its not pink.....


any ideas what to try?

carb cleaner will dissolve paint, its very nasty stuff. your paint im afraid to say us goosed

why is it only one patch then? one side is fine. its just the rear quarter where the strip was

but it shouldnt take the paint off.

did u read the can as it says on it extremely flamable and also avoid contact with paint if it occures wash off immidiately...

try the coloured t-cut that will match the colour of the car,

u always have the op of putting late speck rubstrips on colour coded if it rearly pees u off
