If a company wanted "proof of no claims" , could I give them a my last years insurance certificate , which would show that I had 2 years , or would they want each individual certificate ?

or a renewal form from whoever you were with last time (should state how many nc's you have)

Or just phone up your old insurer and they will send you a letter/fax a letter to your insurance company/telephone your insurance company and let them know. It's up to your current insurer. AA offered to do all of the above, hoever Churchill needed an oriinal copy of the letter sent out by the AA with a covering letter. Wasn't much hassle to do in the end

Yeah - a letter confirming that you have the no claims or a renewal notice is accepted by most. I doubt they'd take last year's certificate as there is no proof there that you didn't make a claim during the period covered by that certificate...
