went to see my old mate mik at high tech in dudley, got the motor on the rollers just for fun,

my mods are piper cross induction and a straight through exhaust

figuere;s 116bhp 109ft/lb torque

not bad eh

is it accurate.... wouldnt be that much with just those..... there 109 standard....

mine ran 107 with straight throu ( which is being removed)

how can this be possable the car turns the rollers and it reads the power

Seems about right to me, maybe 1 or 2 bhp high, but not far.

JM_16v How do you know thats not accurate? There 109 standard, a 7bhp gain from an exhuast is hardly un realistic. It might just be a healthy engine.

i have heard that there rollers are out, try taking it down aldon and see what appears from there

lets face it, it's only a few bhp if anything, hardly worthy of a rr argument!!!

the engine only has 25k on it as the previous owner brought a new one from germany when he was in army, and i just did major service on it


i mean a piper cross induction is about 3-5bhp exhaust is about 5-7 bhp

so it can't be that far out, anyway i'm taking it to aldon automotive nxt week to get it done again and will compare the results

thats how max power works out power, it doesnt work like that in the real world, most bolt on mods wont really do anything, and an open cone induction kit may actually lose you power

well i'll put all the origanal stuff back on then and do it one at a time first the filter get it roaded
then the exhaust then roaded again just to see if they work if not i'll be saving my money at least for the new garden i want

get it on aldons rollers i hear they are quite respectable, even better if you can get to gloucester use Powerstation, they have a good setup

Have you had it rolling roaded on the same rollers standard? Even if they over/under read using the same rr will show any gains.

i had mine rr'd at 2 seperate places, both same (117bhp, 110lb/ft)

again, just filter and cat-back exhaust...

I had those sort of figures wiht my 1.6 sport with full S/S exhaust decat etc etc..

(no matter what you post on here ppl are going to say..RR is pish etc etc)

i spoke to a few other peeps last night, they that what i have is about right maybe 1-2 bhp out but thats fine as a lad has a standard one and on same rollers it read 105bhp, but cus of the comments said i'm going elsewhere to get it done but not till nxt week as there it costs 50 quid
