If you're looking for a cheap car to run you are going down the wrong road mate But I'd go for the Elise, and as said, try to get the 1.8 vvti one.
not after something cheap to run particularly! but it is a factor to take into slight consideration

Elise IMO. N/A VX is a waste of a good chassis, Clio V6 looks cool but a bit pointless really and as said, not the performance it should have.

Hmmm I was looking at a S2 elise today in the car park.....dont really see myself owning one too many things would 'get to me' about it!! VX is virtually the same car so Clio V6 out of the bunch however I wouldnt pick that either. £15k id probably get a nice P1/Evo

vx220 was based on the elise! even jaremy clarkson said that the vx220 was a better all around car than the elise! and jeremy hates vauxhalls........if u dont mind filling ur car up every other day then get the clio!

I'd go for an Evo too although running costs will be much higher than the cars mentioned. Quicker, rear seats, more useable everyday. Downside, petrol, insurance, general running costs. 15k would get you a stonking VI, a very very good VII and a small choice of VIII's (mainly 260s with Ecutek etc circa 350+bhp).
