Sorry guys, just after some opinions really.
Everyone in my family currently has their initial and our surname, Hay. For example my Dad's is G18 HAY, uncle's is S17 HAY. Obviously I'd follow if I could, but there are no D HAYs left.
I only have two initials so a plate with my initals as the suffix is also out of the question because the third letter would be meaningless, unless it's illegally spaced (such as K50 DH etc).
There are also no DOMs left on DVLA, but there is one floating around on newreg which is T44 DOM, but with all the costs added it up it comes to £500.
Shall I snap that up before someone else does or just remain without a private plate forever?

Depends how desperate you are to spend £500? Consider what else it could be spent on!

I don't actually have £500 to spend at the moment.
I'm trying to justify that by telling myself this would last forever, and could currently be bought by someone else.
