right, bought my corsa sport all awesome apart from a few niggles, car was dead slow turning over so checked battery, replaced for cold crank from work, this 1 keeps draining so i keep recharging, any ideas of anythin? mayve alternator or dodgy wiring connection? have morettes and they need grounding again, possibly that?

check the charging rate of the alternator

shud be around 14v or jst above.

if not then the alt is fucked, check all earth's on the battery to bulhead aswell

it was because the car had stood for a while so i took it for a quickie round the block and its fine now!!

i think corsas are just allergic to the cold.

had a 1.4, never had a problem with it over winter.

got a 1.6 in june.... on the 3rd battery already, problems started december (first one went in aug though when i was pissing around with sound system)


fine for 2 weeks, then flat on crimbo day

got a new one flat in like 4hrs which was supposidly full charge.

charged it up, not a single glitch or problem since and its often left for 5+ days sat around doing nothing.

although on cold start runs like a bag of nails in a washing machine on a rollacoaster until warm, then its nice and smooth

lol, yeah sounded bout right, was fine till i put my stereo in and then drained it, new battery, 4 year guarantee, if i fucker that 1 ill just swap it in work
