I had a play with one, his had a few mods too and were very evenly matched. he did pull over and say he couldn't believe i went past him at one point.

Everything is quite evenly matched, i was quicker round corners but thats to be expected!!

I think the insurance on the starlet is quite high though being an import.

but the starlet is probably easier to tune being turbo and are a lot rarer.

i love the starlet GT's very underated car imo, they look a bit turd in standard from but at the moment everyone seems to have 106 gti's so id say the starlet and be different.

glanza's are nicer bit more updated but i think they look a bit too soft wouldnt rule out the older ones

I nearly swapped my ibiza with a 194bhp starlet. but he wanted £5500 for it, but it was fucking mental, exhaust was out the side of the front bumper which was sweet.

Feck! That must have been able to shift... what is the standard 0-60 on them isn't it about 7 secs?

It was ridiculously quick, i think they're about 7secs. as i said it was very close to my 106, and that has 4-1 manifold, cat back, (soon to be decat) and induction kit.

Only thing i was disappointed about was that there wasn't any more pull in the starlet as there was in the 106, on the road we were on there is a 50mph speed camera, we were side by side and he couldn't pull away from me, i was expecting it to pull on me being turbo and everything but it couldn't. i have a vid on my bro's phone of me in my ibiza vs my bro's mates 165bhp glanza racing from a set of traffic lights. the sound of his stalet is unreal on high boost.

Glanza for me, will be quicker and better imo.

Starlet or Glanza are far better to tune and an easily see 200bhp even upto to 330bhp with a wedge of cash.

They don't have an exact insurance group with being imports, admiral they are group 8/9

to give you an esitmate performance wise my starlet had 220bhp and did 1/4 in 13.8, but engine back to standard and sold it
