Im not sure what it is..........its coming from the rear and is constant when i have engine running. Loud enough to hear inside and outside the car.

sounds like fuel pump mate.
could be on it's way out or might have fallen out of position in the tank.
put your head under the car just under the rear window on drivers side and if it's loud then deffo the fuel pump.

how do i go about changing that, i think its coming from the small cylindrical type thing in the fuel line, is that the pump or filter?

if the cylindrical thing you speak of is on the drivers side, under the cill near the 3 quatrer panel, thets the filter
