it depends on the sub/s you have and wether you want in it ported (spl) or sealed (sq)

most manufacturers have Box designs on there web sits for your sub/subs

as a perfect square...

1.063ft x 1.063ft x 1.063ft

gives about 1.201cu

don't ask what 0.063 of a foot it though lmao... think it works out to be something like 12.76 inches? (0.76 being 76% of an inch... not 7.6 12ths i think)

dont make your box a perfect square . it will proudce a square sound signal when the sound hits the back of the box and will sound shite

thats why all sub boxes you see have an angle on the rear to dispurse the sound wave

as for dimensions ...........

i just suggested a perfect square as it made the calculation a lot easier.

other way to do it would involve working out the angle of the slant so you can work out the area of the 3D triangle that would be removed from the pefect square shape to work out the slanted box.

ie. pain in the arse.

alternative... using some greek blokes method of water displacement (eurika!!).... get 35 litres of water, make a box and see if 35 litres of water fills it.

cheers will
very much appreciated

if i made it a little wider, and made a flat port in it that would be spot on and sound good, am i right?

something like this...

looks alright, although a weee bit pricey.

although i know nothing about sub boxes, sizes, dimensions and porting etc.... yet i plan on building some soon lol.

i'm going to try the trial and method approach though lol, not got any choice cos they don't make 6" woofer boxes
