summer has been very late kicking in this year, it reached 40 yesterday, and hopefully next week things much better

The Australian Alps are part of the Great Dividing Range, which extends for 2000miles.

Tallest peak in the UK is Ben Nevis at 4406ft, tallest peak in Australia is Mt Kosciuszko at 7310ft. we get heaps of snow over the australian peaks
