you sure your mate doesnt have a xsara vtr as there more of a match for a 1.6 sport.

the xsara vts will give a 306 gti-6 a serious run for its money and both cars are alot faster than a 1.6 sport. unless your car has had some thoughtful tuning then it must of been a vtr

MR2 2.0 N/A's range from 125bhp to 170ish bhp I think. There's a variety of different models. The 170bhp model is similar performance to a 106 GTi.

Be careful in the wet

IMO I dont think I could have trusted myself with an MR2 at 19

I'd say the saxo/106 is better tbh, the only thing the xsara would be better at is motorways, but then how often do you drive over 90/100mph???? the saxo will be fine upto those speeds.

if its similar performance to a gti il be happy...

if its slow then i dont really want one.. 170bhp rwd is fairly appealing though

As long as you get the 170bhp (ish) model the performance is good. They handle very well if you get a Rev 3 onwards (late 93 onwards) but if you drive like a muppet they will try and kill you. Turbo is very quick and a bit more of a handful

I'd still buy my 106 tho
