I dont really undestand what you want yo know. The basic parts and workings or the mathematics of airflow etc? Surely you need to know the basics before the maths?

yes it will.

without knowing how it works, the flow rates and boost pressures are just numbers

basically a turbo uses to fans, ones attached to the exhaust manifold and is driven round by the exhust gases, this is then linked to and driving a fan on the inlet which forces more air in to the engine.

superchargers are driven by the engines them selves. hence a fan in the inlet is driven off of a drive belt from the engine.
advantages of a supercharger is that you don't get any lag, how ever it is only able to rotate at the same rate as the engine where as the turbo can rotate faster thus drawing in more air and giving a larger power boost.

or atleast this is my understanding of it anyways. dunno if it helps like.

sc will also create more boost as revs increase where as the turbo will hit peak then slowly drop off in some cases.
