it makes the car think its cold - therefore sticking in more fuel making it faster.
that being the theory though...... if your car is warm and it sticks in more fuel (thinking its cold) then it'll probably just make it run rich - and inefficient... possibly causing it to loose power and knock?
you'd see better advantages spending that sort of money on the premium of buying higher grade fuel (v power and the likes) - i know it can make my 1600 more responsive and pull a wee bit better higher up (although i usually use normal stuff)
