ok guys just bought a 306 turbo diesel
got a few wee niggly problems which i have been sorting before i start to drive it on monday.
i have two things to sort tomoro and havent had a chance to look at either of them yet so was just wondering if maybe they were common probs on 306s and anyone could give me a shortcut to fixing them to save me time.
p/s front door window does not work.
does not work from either switch so id be happy enuff with the switch. havent looked at the reg yet or tested it for power so cannot comment.
anyone any ideas??
interior light does not come on when i open the door
does come on when i switch it on tho so not a bulb. maybe door switch?? any ideas??
are dash lights a badger to change??? as it has some blown but i could live with it for the time being if it was a bollox of a job...

if u open the door u will c a thing that goes in and out that is the thing that does the interior light have a look at that

just check to see if theres live feeds really, for both the electric jobs,

yeah have a power tester in the garage and i know about the wee thing on the door. was just hoping they may be common things on 306s and someone may know to save me the hassle of finding out wots wrong.lol

306's are renowned for crap electrics. The wires that run between the door and the bulkhead (in the rubber sheath) crack and eventually snap. I had to have the whole lot replaced when I had mine, and its not a cheap job.

i dont mind having to change a window reg or loom or switch or something tbh. scrapyard stuff should be cheap enough and ill fit myself. i dont fancy any other more complicated things tho... 2moro will tell a tale...
my white corsa had really crap electrics, like wires breaking etc. had to replace section to one headlamp/ one tailamp and the number plate lamp. was hoping for an end to these type of problems..

GRR needed a window reg, got one from scrappy and it doesnt work...
got the interior light fixed with 2 new door switchs
