With the multi meter set to measure current in amps, the reading displayed will be the current drawn from the electrictal circuits in the car in amps. This has nothing to do with the resistance. Unless your using V=IR to find the resistance

right.... cos the stinking engine bay is so crammed full, i can barely see behind alternator etc etc to see any wires, can see some but not a clue where they're coming from, and cant see any earthing points.... only thing i've found that looks remotely like one is:

ok...wrong wording....but you knew what i meant, and now youve just confused everyone in this thread even more well done

just find out what elecrtical draws there are...if any, a faulty earth WILL NOT drain the battery, when left standing

wooooooooooo i found the earth - will go check it in a minute althoug it does look very clean, its only a 98 model with 52k on it
