Where the valve stem seals go down the stem then slide over a sort of ridge to the valve guide, this ridge was snapped off with the stem seal still attatched !
What would have happened if I had put the head on like that ?

Its just an old head I had kicking about but I want to sell it rather than bin it etc.
Are valve guides straightforward to fit ?

pretty easy if you no what your doing.they have to be pressed out and the new one pressed in.but you need to get the angle perfectwhen doing it or it will just crack.
