pros - er... none, unless you have a turbo, or a highly tuned car, or maybe an engine conversion.

cons - noise, fines, mot swapping, sounds shit, costs money for no power gains.

ive de catted my saxo, improved performance and a much better exhaust note was my reward, smells like your going to be driving something with a bit of power when you start it in the morning as well

worth the £50 i spent.

He probably means the smell of petrol out of it which i get on mine, hate the decat sounds crap and has made no difference at all

realy mate what your wanting is a racing cat. decats are shit, i have had them on most of my cars and unless you can change it over for an mot yourself it aint worth having.

like someone said above you would only get a noticable gain from a tuned engine.

had one on my old sport with a full system aswell.

didnt know if there was a difference after the exhaust cos it all got put on at the same time, but was very very loud indeed.

person that bought it changed it for its MOT recently. ive noticed it doesnt sound as loud just now with the cat back on.

Robin what you on. The decat definately made a difference on my 106, firstly I had a magnex silenced one so the noise of the exhaust didnt actually change at all but the exhaust was overall better flowing and there was a noticeable difference. The new one has no silencer and does the same job, twinned with my cat back system it sounds great.

no power gains...and a sh!te raspy sound....

as for the saxo cat comment, saxo's have a very restrictive cat to start with...so they will se an imporvement

Perhaps the same applies with 106s but ive never heard of them not giving gains on any car really. Thought they would help wherever a cat is involved.
