went to go to a club last night with my mate, went in, decided we didnt have enough cash, so we nipped out to go get some moolah from the bank machine.

entered his pin, it said he could withdraw £0. bemused, we went to another machine, same again, checked his balance, £560 was missing

he phoned up today and the last withdrawls were made before and after midnight, he card has been skimmed and the pin taken recently, right before christmas as well.

i bet its some immigrant fucking arseholes who have really fuckin ruined this country, should burn the bastards alive, if i ever found anyone doing this i'd happily punch their cunt in

going to change my pins soon and will be covering my hand from now on

I've always wondered how the banks treat this sort of thing... do they do a compensation type scheme or do you just loose the money..... I assume its fairly hard to convince the banks that you didn't withdraw the money/spend it etc.

i always give these machines a crafty tug to see if it feels loose. I know of a petrol station in MK where the scammers put a cover over the top of the machine so it doesnt look out of place but can copy card details

each ATM takes like a screenshot/cctv image every 5 seconds or so, so they should be able to track it down if it was done at an atm, but yeh takes weeks to get your money back

i blame 'The Real Hustle' TV show,

fair enough bring it to the attention of people to watch out for scammers but its bringing knowlege and technique to other's, its basically teching them the way,

makes me cringe watching it sometimes

So it wasn't the atm then?

He had had the card skimmed somewhere before that.

They have CCTV you know, you should be careful when you start tugging off in front of one.

thing is, he can't prove it wasnt my mate that took the money out, the gangs are silly and they only operate at machines without cctv, so the police/bank told him today, dont operate near where they live either and move around.
