Hello,
I had a go today at mounting the shifter linkage to my F28 Box. It went on ok but I have a problem with selecting 2 of the gears....
The area highlighted catches when I try to select these 2 gears...

Could you please tell me if I have used the correct linkage and fitted the mount spacer plates correctly? heres some more pics so you can see it

And if I have done it correctly, what have over people done to avoid this problem???
Thanks for any help / guidence.
Neil

neil, what you need to do is shorten the part of the linkage that actually connects to the box. i shortened mine so there was 10mil roughly between the bracket that sticks up for the plastic bar bit and the end that connects to the box. i hope that makes sense, if not, ive got pics of it on my computer somehwere i think

Argh I see... that would have the effect of bringing the female connecter end backwards clearing the bolts that its presently fouling on. Is this problem just because of the F28??? As the setup you see in the pics is exactly what we were using on the F20 The gold coloured bar your on about shortening is actually a Nova item as we found the length was perfect.
Cheers

yeah that bit needs shortening .. take as much off it as you put on it for an f20 .. would work out to be about 10mm that rod then as muppet has said
