Where i say im going back to the gym

I used to 11.5 stone fighting fit. Rowing 5 times aweek and in the gym every day but friday.

Hurt my back in a car crash

Cant row any more.

any way the weigh piled on and i was about 13 stone. lost two stone in a month whilst training in the gym 7 days a week. That was a few years ago

Now im about 13 stone again. Bit of a beer belly but still quite a big lad (stocky)

What do i need to do to build back up again? Should i be doing loads of cardio first to drop the weight and then buid back up from that or be doing weights and cardio?

I can sit and ride a bike for hours without an issue. Riding at night at this time of years isnt an issue as i have off road flood lights

Come on gym buffs your input is needed.

I'd say cardio, then weights. Logic suggests cardio for the weightloss and weights for the buildup. I have no evidence to back this up though

cardio will lessen muscle mass, you will burn off good things that could be used to build muscle, you may as well just do weights, to build muscle mass then sculpt it afterwards, the balanced diet, and the exercise from the lifting should promote fat loss and a small amount of cutting anyway..

I could be very mistaken tho

If you can train chest with legs you're not working half as hard as you should be, infact if you can train anything with legs you're not. Leg days at the gym should be sickening, quite literally lol. Chest is a large muscle too, work it alone or with a smaller muscle group (biceps or triceps)
