right here is the crack, went out to car lastnight to change a bulb in the clocks that had gone - did it put clocks in again and switched them on - stil not on tried car and it started - so switched it off then took clocks out and turned bulb 180degrees, put clocks in and it worked!! wehey!!
BUT
now the car wont turn over without a jump start and when i do get it running it runs ok but WITHOUT:
rev counter working
speedo working
leky windows working
leky mirrors working
and when you turn the key to the last position before turning it over, normally the warning lights go on then go off when you turn it over, none of them come on - apart from the batery light (bright)and the EM light (very dim)
cant think of anything else at the min - ANY IDEAS WOULD BE MUCH APRECIATED!!!

just tried the paperclip test and when i tuned it to the last ignition point (before tuning it over) it wouldnt light the EM light up so couldnt do it!!

not got a clue but try imobiliser and fuses

tried fuses (is there only the ones under the dash or is there anymore i dont know about?!) and why might it be the imobiliser?!

starter motor?
did you say its not ticking over ie it wont go as far as to try and start

i wouldnt lastnight but put the jump leads on and it started no bother - but still no leky windows etc!?
