I sold my 2003 astra GSi to my younger bro in feb this year.
Because he was 19 at the time he insured it under my dad's name with elephant for £1700.
He hasn't made any claims, yet his renewal came through today at £5542.89 still with my dad as the policyholder.
Obviously we know he has been deceiving the insurance company to a certain point but is still insured, but that is a huge increase nevertheless.
Do you think that rather than say we don't want to insure you they have increased it to deter him from using them?

Elephant told my dad that's the price and they are not willing to be competitive, cunts.
Admiral who are owned by the same company only want £1500

I can insure one with no NCB for £1540, apparently, so I'd definitely say to shop around

I refuse to pay anything over £800 now for insurance unless it was something rediculously quick or a Cossie/RS of some kind.

Might be worth while checking some Brokers...As when I used to work for one we used to Mirror the NCB, as well as if you could provide proof of being on a policy with no Claim they would sometimes give you relevant discounts.
Just worth a try, Not saying all will be if theywant your business they will.

So out of the 718 cars you looked at buying, did any come in over £800?
