what is it you drive on a class 1 licence?? how old do you have to be to get it??

Google: Class 1 License - Semi-trailer trucks - permits the holder to operate all motor vehicles or combinations of vehicles except motorcycles.

ohh right thank. on your normal licence you can drive vans cant you like transit/sprinter vans??

Anything upto 7.5 tonnes can be driven on a regular car liscence

7.5 is it, i thought it was only 3.5. on a car licence. thats whatt vans are arent they 3.5??

I might be wrong, Just my mate works for DAF and can drive a 7.5 on his liscence.

if you got your ;license before something like july 96 then you can drive up to 7.5 tonnes ,if you got it after this date you can only drive up to i think 3.5 tonnes, im not certain of the date though

im alright though as i passed in july 95

it depends when you got your licence after 1 January 1997 its up 3500kg anything over that and you need a cat C licence

just edited it 2001 is when thay bought in the extra bit for car trailers
