how much bhp with these add?

are they worth it on a standard 1.6 sport?

what would you say a rough price is to pay for one?

Not worth the price for the performance gains IMO.

i can always rely on you to be the smart arse, i hate postin topics up with just question after question so i thought i should warn people.

it is second hand and its under £100 just trying to build up my knowledge of performance upgrades and there pros and cons

yeah, under 100 is a reasonable price, but as said, it won't give you massive gains.

it'll raise the rev limit, and give you maybe 5bhp, if you're lucky, on a standard engine

trouble is raising the rev limit isn't always advantageous as the power will drop off alot earlier on a standard x16xe...however, fit a different inlet and it'll make a big difference as they need raised rev limits to achieve their full potential.

i made 10bhp of mine but thats because it still had heaps of power after 6500. on a standard engine there is probably better things you could spend your money on.

Spend the money elsewhere, IMO you won't get your £100 worth. eg Astra 16v brakes would make your car much faster than that chip and cost half the price.
