Anyone doing one of these?
Just signed up to the Calais to Casablanca event, 1500miles (or so) through 3 countries and one ferry, in a 100 quid bucket of a car, should be good
But looking out for the £100 banger, thinking about a tank like a saab or volvo (though a bit of a mare to work on) or possibly something simple like a landy/vaux if we can get something like that.

My mate had a 1 litre nova that he sold for £75 to a guy who owned a pub. A week later it was on the front page of the local paper, as it was entered in one of these. I think it was london to South Africa.
It actually made it.

You'll be lucky to get a spot now, as registration opened this morning and places disappeared stupidly quick - all the places for last years staples to naples went within 5 minutes of them opening registration
It's, £180 to enter a team of 2 people + Car + Some Sticker Pack, and its £25 extra per person.
Been told you can easily spend a grand or so all in, so it's far from cheap but for 5 days it should be a laugh!
Yea on a look out for a car at the mo, yet to find anything though

Robin, fancying pointing me in a few directions?, as im struggling to find anything - would like a landy but 100 gets your a complete shed that would need a few k spent on it (which is a waste).
Mini is the other option, but looking for something a bit modern and can be fixed at the side of the road if needed be, 1.2/1.4/1.6 diesel pref......

carlton/granada or an astra/cavalier/escort maybe, there's plenty of escorts about for bugger all.
Personally I'd go for a cavalier, cheap, easy to fix, big enough for all your crap
