Is there anyway you can download a youtube video? Theres a few i really like and i wanna stick it on my ipod video.

You can buy software which will save the file to your computer however I'm pretty sure I've tried this but youtube use their own format which realplayer etc wont accept.

just tried it and it saves it as a .flv file

Do you have Firefox? There's a plugin called VideoDownloader that will save the vids as flash video files to your computer. Then all you need to do is download FLV Player and away you go.

Ok so the answer is yes..

I use WM Recorder 11.0 to save videos, live streams etc to my computer.

I then used ImTOO MPEG Encoder to convert it to a .wmv format and worked fine

Trial versions of both can be downloaded off the internet for free

use http://keepvid.com/ enter the URL and it gives you a direct d/l link for video

to convert to .flv to avi/asf etc use Riva d/l from here
