Hi guys, unfortunately got a letter through today from South Yorkshire police informing me i have been caught speeding doing 43mph in a 30mph zone.
It was when i was driving through Rotherham last Saturday. To be fair i thought it was a 40mph zone but that doesnt matter.....i have been caught so fair enough.
Just wondering what i am likely to get.....3 points and £60?
I've just filled in the slip to send back. A friend says that SY police sometimes allow you to attend a day class where they show you pics and vids of the effects of speeding. IF i get the chance o do this i will.
Cheers for any info guys, Steve

If its your first 3 points I wouldn't worry too much about insurance mate. They tend to be ok about 3 points, its when you start getting 6+ that they nail you with the premium

my friend got done for speeding not long ago, she got the fine and was offered to attend the class instead of the 3 points. ask about it at the police station.

Yeah 3 points and £60 fine. I got done for 44mph in a 30 when I was young and stupid and thats what I got.
Officer said if I had been doing 45mph then I would of been in court and possibly got 6 points.
BTW - my insurance hasn't increased at all from having points.
