Yeah, don't bother going out between the months of October and March unless you want to crash quite badly.

A520s were bad enough and they had far more tread than that.

wouldnt use them on the road full stop. will last about 10 mins!

I had yoko A539's on the front alloys when they were getting close to the limits, grip under braking was...non existant

nearly crashed my fcuking car twice....now have Toyo Proxes T1-s, or whatever they are, mean looking tyres

But the A539 is in the mid range betwen sport and comfort...this by Yokohama, what I know is: A539 here have treadwear 400...sure, will last a lot of km, but with poor performance. Maybe the A520 with treadwear 160 is a more sportive choice....even old still a good tyre.

Now, those Advans are amazing. I don't know on wet roads but in dry roads...have a large contact area and very good rubber. Just be aware on the compounds avaliable.

Normally the Advan 032R 'S' compound have a treadwear 60

i have 048r's on the corsa as track tyre.

Dont recommend fitting them to a road car as you will get only about 2k on them if that.
They are not that bad in the wet though.

My AVS Sports are amazing in the dry and wet. Terrible in ice!!!!! Althought 4wd doesn't help, two more wheels to spin!

My A539's have lasted well, they're 300 tread wear, but they are grippy, much better than conti contisports!!!! Not tried the toyo's, wanted parada's but don't do them in 16's.
