There's a knocking noise coming from my corsa ever since i bought it, the noise is coming from around the drivers rear quarter panel..Ive been told its the ball/float thingy in the petrol tank..Have i been told correctly?If so, can it be sorted..Ive had the exact same knocking noise in my 3 previous Vauxhalls/Opels

Is it not the exhaust knocking on the bottom of the car? My boyfriend has this problem with his 206.

I don't think it would be the exhaust as on corsa's they are on the passenger's side, sure there's nothing in your boot?

knackered suspension perhaps.
is it all the time or just round corners or under braking etc?

My sisters corsa had a similar problem. Turned out the shock was fucked.

I have new Bilstein shocks and Koni springs so i know for a fact its not knackered suspension..The noise is all the time.
