Yes get a 3/4 size front one like me. I have standard rear as I think its pushing it a bit having a small plate on the back if the police were behind you.
I've had mine on since the start of June and not been pulled for it. Only time I have had anything mentioned was when I went to the police station to report something and they mentioned about it but said they would leave it up to me to change them.
The only time the police see them is when they are going the opposite way to me so they dont bother turning round to stop me.

If you keep the letter size and spacing the same and cut down the actual plate size should be ok.....It's not the size of plate but the size and spacing of letters that will get you into trouble surely...

Looks shit IMO, you still have a big fuckin recess round the outside. You'll want one of those gay plates that is cut round the letter next.

I'm pretty sure there has to be a minimum size around the edge of the letters.

Yeah letters have to be a certain size and also a certain size border around the edges.

If they're not standard then they're illegal. It's quite simple once you get your head around it.

so a standard plate is:
525mm wide
110mm high
cut down legal plate size is:
440mm wide
101mm high
but it also depends on the letters and numbers in the plate.
the above example is based on: AB21 ABC
