What are these engines like in a corsa?

As there is one advertised locally and im thinking of going to look at it.

Its a corsa trip shell with 70,000 miles on it and a 2.0 8v engine from a calibra in it with roughly the same milage.

Just wondering on people thoughts as i may phone the guy back and go and have a look at it tomoro.

what would the likely preformance be? its been remapped with cams and full exhust?

There are two different 2.0 8v,think one has 113bhp or something and the other is SRi 130 lump,which had 130bhp.

the calibra was the lowe power output one, however im sure the only difference was cams and the map so with the above mods it should be quite perky.

I drove an 8v gte once was very nippy especially low down the rev range

cam, ecu and pistons are different - 20seh (130bhp)

to the 20ne (113bhp) i think

The calibra enigine with the sri 130 cam,aftermarket exhaust and remap should see over 130bhp

the 20seh will have a different compression ratio than the 20ne also

hmm might hold out for a 20xe. As i dont think the shell is as good as mine anyway
