Basically it's a Human Resource professional qualification, a bit like a CA that accountants do....but easier

I did Economics & Business at Uni and graduated in July but I need this thing to really get into HR and out of recruitment consultancy further down the line

Any experiences? Long shot I know

I havent but Im starting CIPS (purchasing and supply). Will take about 3 years to complete and is the equivalent of an honours degree. You may get some exemptions from depending on your degree content.

From what I have heard regarding HR it is THE qualification to have, as is CIPS for purchasing and CIMA for Management Accountancy. But you'll need to be gaining proper HR experience whilest you are studying to make the most of it I would imagine.

cheers mate, i'm getting dispensation as I already hold a degree, just need to pass an exam first

Also working as a Recruitment Consultant, so first steps towards HR roles

Need out of recruitment though, working off commision is pish

Men in HR are GAY... we always take the piss out of the blokes in HR

Although majority of top brass HR tend to be blokes but its still a bit hommish! Get to work with fit birds though
