.Has anyone ever had Merrell stuff before. I need something hardwearing, warm and comfy. I live on the edge of the middle of nowhere and *Fashion* trainers wont cut the mustard.

Seen a set of Merrell "Chameleon Slam" on the internet; but don't know what they're like quality wise

cham slams are good shoes man, make sure they're the ones with vibram soles though as merrells go on forever and ever.
