I have shitty blown speakers in my car at the moment. Needing an upgrade ASAP

I'm impressed with the value and sound quality of Infinity Gear.

What do you recommend?

These are the ones. 17cm Right?

I would use these Kappa ones:

But i'm unsure if the mounting deph is enough? I don't want Pods.

Those are the Infinity Reference ones on Autoleads adaptors. Tight fit, but they go!

16.5-17cm with adapter rings but you need to watch the depth of the speaker as it may fowl the window when its down

I had infinity components. The magnet wouldnt fit through the gap in the door. I have rainbow now, much better and fit perfectly

not meaning to steal the thread or anything, but what size rainbows have you got chris? as the only way i could get mine in with the autolead adaptors was too put the speakers in upside down.

You need adaptor rings anyway, as the standard speakers are triangular, but you can fit either 13cm or 17cm ones, its up to you.

Just beware of the depth of the speaker, if you check one of the topped threads in this section, it says the maximum depth before pods are needed, IIRC its 54mm.

There 5.25 inch. The speakers are the correct way up and im using auto leads adapters. I would have got the 17s but they fowl the top of the door pockets (well they do with my sisters coaxials)

just done mine mate

front - get 17cm speakers (depth no more than 64mm) and 17cm adaptor plates

you will have to cut the hammer the door skin in a bit to fit

rear - 10cm , just slot in standard mounts

really easy to remove, just undo the t20 torx bolts, undo the rear seat fixings (2 bolts t40)

To be honest I really would not bother upgrading the rear's as the plastic rattles too much.
