That Jahre Viking oil tanker takes 5.5 miles to stop 2.5 miles turning circle depending on weather.
The oil it carries could take you on something like 10 round trips to, the Sun and still have enough left over to fly a 747 100 times round the world.
Thats not taking into account the 250 tonnes of fuel the ship burns every day.
The propeller is about 30 foot diameter.

techinally the Maersk Emma is the largest ship as off 2006 as the Knock Nevis is a FSO.
What makes me laugh is the QE2 was built in less that three years and wembley is still being built.

The KNOCK NEVIS, a ship so huge that when fully laden she can not pass through the 32 mile wide English channel
Also when fully laden, she sits 24.5 meters deep in the sea,
Look at the more noraml sized ship on the left of this pic

To be fair, yeah it's a massive massive ship, but the one besides it isn't what I would class a "normal" sized ship - it's more in the feeder class imo
