Our washing machines washes for too long.
We put it on at 5pm and it was still going at 10pm so we had to turn it off.
We had a guy out to look at it and he reckons there is nothing wrong.
Any ideas?

5 hours is a hell of a cycle. There must be something wrong with it dude. Have you checked the instructions? If it doesnt tell you how long it should be on for then I would try and speak to another repair and see what he says.

I dunno about yours but ours has a time saver button and a mini load button.
There will be settings that take less. Is there not a "quick wash" option?

Make sure it hasn't had anything like "extra rinse" or "extra cycle" or "extra spin" selected - or even all of them!

I thought this but:
1. There is no quick wash option
2. If there was, a normal wash shouldn't take 4 hours

The guy put it on for a spin at 10:30, he said if its still going at 12:30 we have to call him back.

If I go for the full super wash full load extra spin on mine its about that long.
I wouldn't really ever do that though, think of the bills

thats not fooked!!!
one I have takes about 3.5hours on a cycle...
sometimes the timer gets stuck mid cycle, so you have to kick the washing machine to get it working!
it leaks
it knocks
it bangs
to sum it up...
its an indesit!
