Been before it's well good, probably cheapest way is to try and organise a group.
Get to tamworth snowdome if you can, closest thing to real skiing i've done in uk
Don't go there, go to Milton Keynes. MK is the closest thing to real skiing in the UK. Tamworth is crap, and I work there

Some snotty little thing asked us if we could ski last time fair enough we didn't know what length skies we wanted but she nearly chucked us out
My mate chucked 5p at her feet on the way out and said 'here, start a collection to send yourself to charm school'

Yea, I got told that it was only for snowboarders and really good skiers on one of the freestyle night. I was like don't worry about my skiing abilities. Woke up to a phone call saying I had been rude to the reception staff...

I've been quite a few times.
Been to Austria six times - Gmund once, Zell Am Zee once, St. Johann once and Kitzbuhel three times. I'm going to Bulgaria in January too. Make sure you start doing the leg exercises a few weeks before you go!
