Gatecrasher one in Sheffield is no longer what it was, that sold out years and years ago, Gatecrasher used to be a night on at the Rebublic nightclub (same place just called gatecrasherone now) Have some decent dj's on on a Saturday but its not anyway mint or anything, Bed in Sheffield which was owned by the same people as gatecrasher but got closed down as it was nicking all their main place's (GC1) customers was immense, that closed a couple of years ago now though too.

Don't go to The Works
Erm, yea, there are a lot of small clubs that are cool. In Brum there are some places that are bar styled clubs which have small capacities and are so much better. Recently they are getting a bit too commercial though. Shame really

Ed £30 to get in to Godskitchen ? what nights are you going on, most i've paid is £10-£15 & thats been on a night with a wicked lineup
Carl im going have to dissagree with what you said about GC1, the club its self is still banging. They have started putting Crasher nights on again montly & have had some wicked lineups over the lasst 6months. Even Armin Van Burren made a come back after 2years away from the club. It has started picking up again now, the next Crasher night is on the 11th Nov & the lineup is awesome

The layout of the club is awful, the top roof is well sweaty, don't like the place. Years ago it was THE place to be, never went at theat time, then when i did get to go I was well disappointed, i was expecting something immense and all i found was another run of the mill venue.

Some of my best ever nights were in Bed, shame it closed
Think it was because of the drainage system in the end. The whole building needed re-plumbing (if the stories are to be believed).

Oh, and back on topic. The D'Ramirez mix of Bodyrox is just the same as Roger Sanchez - Lost (D Ramirez mix) that he did aaaaaaaaages ago!
Thats a much better track

i was reading about it the other day after trying to explain to our lass where it used to be, apparently from reading quite a bit about it it was as said, the guy who owned it own both, Bed and republic/GC. He had just spent millions refurbing GC and had bed which was nicking all of his "flagship" clubs customers! Not a good thing when you have just spent millions on something. it shut for a "refurb" (read there was a sewage problem never noticed it the times i went, did notice an utter wank dj once in the upstairs room but thats another matter!) to which it never got re-opened.

i usually find ferry corstens work has a bit too much trance style synth on top to be considered in the same league as d.ramirez.

Ferry is trying to pionner his own sound. I'm not really liking his electro trance & im a massive fan of trance but im not feeling it. He was way better in his hayday IMO.
