Went for a test drive in one this morning (was a bit bored , and a new Pug dealer has opened near me)

Its a very nice car, nice progressive power, seems fairly well screwed together, and looks good IMO, except for the front grille, which looks massive in pics, but isn't as bad in the flesh.

Not amazingly quick, only 150bhp (but the engine is shared with the new mini, which is 175bhp with different software), but it goes well, and there is no real turbo lag to speak of.

It likes corners though, like most french cars

The GTi is due next year, with 200bhp, and should be a bit quicker.

Quite expensive though, i think the list price is £14.5k or thereabouts , but the spec is pretty good for that, glass roof as standard, TC, EBD, Stability control, and all the usual stuff.

What do people think? I'd have one.

I was thinking that, the back end looks the same as the 206.

It looks really good in the flesh.

Tim, Peugeots aren't unreliable, my brother had a 106 when he was 18, and it NEVER broke in 3 years.

Mates just bought a 1.4 cos' his missus is learning to drive and they're sharing

He's got rid of his subaru and got a bike , then he got a very hefty payrise and thought nice one - evo until his birdmessed things up by learning to drive and being a porper.

I don't like them much tbh.

Didn't say they were unreliable just the fact i don't like any of Peugeots new styling, all the new models look too similar from the front

Read in The Times today that the 207GTi is going to be just 175BHP - sounding the same as the New Mini.

Its definitely one to split opinions. I think its a great looking car from the rear, its just the front grille, which looks massive in pics.
