i work at mazda and there not as good as people used to make out they were. even the 231ps 6speed version is gutless untill u get it above 3k rph. they do sound nice though! especially the PZ version!

my mates is 5 speed would that be the 190 version then or is the 220 5 aswell

your mates is the 192ps version.. the 231ps version has a 6 speed box

lee - ive raced an RX8 at work in my valver and left him standing in acceleration. mine will out run a mazda6 mps 2.3 turbo up to 100mph

Dont these have really bad MPG too? I think they look nice, but wouldnt hand over my hard earned for one.

then again the bloke that owns it now did trade in his 1.9tdi sport a3 so it must of been a BIG shock to him

I like them more than I used to and the 230ps model has quite respectable performance fgures imo.

to outrun the mps to 100 you must either have a rediculous corsa or the other person wasn't trying.

no torque though when you need it when pulling away


the idea of it isn't to have much torque, it gets its speed from using the full rev range. take it up to 9750rpm in every gear and your hardly slow to go anywhere
