halls are silly money

student housing is best, and cheaper!

I got just short of £1800 and i have £500 left, paid off housing & bills till next loan comes, rest is for living & such...

gonna be a teacher so wont have to pay it back, therefore not arsed where its spent!

also if you work abroad for more than 6 months full time, like say, in australia, it gets wiped clean

Mine's gonna go on bills, and loan payments (i say gonna, because i only enrolled and therefore applied a week ago) oh, and i plan to upgrade my computer as well

Also, BEER. (from the place i WORK 30 hours+ a week)

I'm not sure where mine all went! Basically buying clothes, gadgets, computers, games and so on and so forth.

As Paul W has said, it's worth it if you get what you set out to acheive. In my final year and can actually see results in terms of employment. Really glad i took a year out too as i got the experience that i needed and they have kept me on Also there is a module running next semester which will also widen my experience.

we have compulsory placement for 3rd year regardless, so in a way it helps I guess see what happens tho...

I dont think it does Paul, i've got friends who've been in USA for well over 6 months since coming out of Uni... you don't have to pay it after 25 years but if you come back to the UK in that time and earn over 15k the same rules apply.

last year it was £92 a week...now im in a house its £73 a week...but still!
