run tb's using standard management?

Obviously it won't run at its full potential but will it still add a bit of power? Or will there just be too much air and make it run crap?

Just wondering...

and you use a airbox to go around the tb's so you can use the standard airflow sensor. And you keep all the other sensors connected up.

it wouldnt run.

the TPS is different and you would need the AFM as broster said. you might get it to start if you are lucky but it wouldnt drive well at all.

Just fit the standard tps on the side of the butterfly rail.

what i'm trying to establish is whether the quantity of extra air would be the reason for it running crap?

or can the ECU match the extra air with fuel?

yes the dbilas tb's can be used with standard management but only if you re-use the AFM. bit pointless fitting throttle bodies with standard management though as you wont see much gain. its like fitting a £2000 motech engine management system on a standard engine. pointless doing one without the other.
