Went shopping the other day with a friend, she got beef mince, bread, etc etc... All well within date...
Mince was brown & hard on the inside like it was cooked, and the bread (even tho 'suposed' to be ok till 20th of Oct) was going all mouldy
They used to be good (altho pricey)
WTF has happend to them??

Meh, fuckups happen, if you write a complaint they'll refund you straight away in store, then give you some vouchers.

took it back (well the mince) last night, the bread tho was just binned as cba with the hastle of going back no more!
They used to be ace tho the 10 jam donuts for £1 when I was in college (years back) amongst other things!
Tesco/Asda is where I usually go (mainly Asda now as I'm getting miffed with the lack of customer service at Tesco), but still prefer the produce section in morrisons!

Giving away stock isnt good business practice, there is a common misconception that if something is displayed cheaper its your right to buy it. This is a incorrect and even if it were correct they have the right to refuse service to anyone, mistakes happen i they are going to loose money by giving you the film then no wonder they didnt bother!
May be a pain and it is bad they did it in the first place but mistakes happen. They are only human.
Sometimes if its a managr you are speaking to they will be able to do it for good will, but it depends how much good will they wan to give as if it just outright leaves them £10 on stock i wouldnt be suprised they told u to jog on!

They can refuse to serve you, but if they already sell it to you at the higher price then they have to refund you the difference to the advertised price.

I shop at Sainsbury's and M&S
never been let down down especially in terms of quality
maybe a one-off situation here.
Just write to the customer services, they should sort out something as ed stated

They don't have to sell stuff but I also don't like expecting to pay one price and being charged another.
