At the end of this year i was thinking of just getting a inter-rail ticket around europe and just traveling about, with a bit of money and a backpack.

Has anyone done it, reccomend it and any tips ?

Some friends and I did something like 3000 miles in a C3 over Europe. It was exciting

the only story i have of a hostel was a friend of mine and her boyfriend went to amsterdam and were in a shared room with other people, apparently there was 2 homosexual gentlemen having intercourse all night very loudly in the room

the same friend also went with afew of her female friends through france and into spain and they all had their handbags robbed at some point, so just be careful etc
