My Birthday's coming up and I'd like to do one for it. Anyone have any ideas where you can do them etc.. I'd like to get on the skid pan and round a track etc.. the more things the better really. Im willing to travel a little bit, but as close to London as possible would be a great help. Thanks Guys

I did my skid control course at Rockingham, definitely recommend it.

My advanced driving did not reduce my insurance 
But then being female i guess it cant get much cheaper anyway

I've never mentioned I did it Didn't occur to me as I didn't do it to bring my insurance down.

ash no i just randomly heard an advanced driving course brings down insurance prices - just wondered if it did with you?

Insurance will only come down if you do an on-road advanced driving course with IAM.
I dont think this includes skid control etc. Just acceleration, cornering, observation etc. In theroy if you are driving properly you should never skid!

iv looked into doing the IAM this is suposed to help but driving courses such as skid control etc wont make any difference they are more like driving experiences. The IAM is worthwhile from what i found out just never bothered my arse to get it done
