[quote="MADRod"]Not a lot more to spend on the car now as it nears completion so ive delved into my records & found out what 10 years Modifications have cost.
It shows all my MAD Modifications in total.
It does not include routine maintenance or consumables or service parts. Mark Sponsors the car so Labour is very low in the Latest build. THANKS MARK!!.
Its lower than I thought. Im sure a few have spent a lot more & failed to produce such a performer.
Around 2000+ man hours of my own time in this car in the 10 years so 200mph cost me a lot of time & effort lads.
Both Mark & I think this Topspeed nonsense has now run its course, my only regret is the Block cracking last Febuary prevented me being able to quit then. My son has forced my hand on carrying on as he purchased the latest Turbo, when I just wanted to re-build as it was.
He is now the second string Driver, although I will limit the amount of Power on his run to allow him to just crack 200mph, his PB at Brunters is 185mph some time back & it’s a big jump from his company Astra Van. Dads are very protective you know.

you would agree, but as chip pointed out, if you had bought a new mondeo evey 2 years you would have spent over that

and IMO its so so to build a car which is quicker than 99% of cars in thw world, and is a sierra

Think its the diff that limits it, saying that, beeing limited to 217mph isnt shy
