No, they have a monocle that sits over the occupants eye which projects an infra red image so they can see in the dark/low visibility... The IR pod on the nose is controlled by the pilot/gunner's head movements, and turns as the person does to provide a consistent IR veiw of the battlefield. edit: Forgot the gun under the nose also responds to the view of the gunner in the same way

They also have a system which can identify targets by their shape, for example a tank/APC, etc and grade them in order of priority.
